Everything you need for the week: the day-by-day programme, which room you're in, and how to get to Monash University Malaysia from the airport or by car.
Organised by the Monash Complex Computational Modelling Lab, Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics, School of Business, Monash University Malaysia, in partnership with SPARKLE (Strengthening Preparedness in the Asia Pacific Region through Knowledge, Learning and Engagement) and the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity.
Every session, Monday to Friday, is in Room 9501: Building 9, Level 5, Room 1. All times are Malaysia time (MYT).
The hands-on sessions follow SPARKLE's Modelling Infectious Diseases short course. Notes, exercises and R code for each session are on the SPARKLE training site. Work through them in order unless your trainer says otherwise.
Fallen behind in an exercise? Coding sessions include "Need to catch up?" links that download a script with all the code completed up to that point.

Present your identification at Gate A security. The BRT station and car park connect straight to Gate A by a covered Level 3 bridge.
Building 9 · Level 5 · Room 1. All five days, 21–25 September. From Gate A, head to Building 9 and go up to Level 5.
Two ways in. Grab is quickest door to door; rail plus BRT avoids the highway rush (07:30–09:30 and evenings).
Board at the airport's basement transit terminal. Direct to KL Sentral.
~30–35 minAt KL Sentral, board towards Putra Heights. Alight at USJ 7 (KJ31).
~35 minWalk across the upper-level bridge at USJ 7 to the BRT platform. Board towards Sunway-Setia Jaya.
Exit onto the Level 3 covered bridge, which leads directly to the Gate A security entrance.
Take a Grab straight to Gate A. The rail route involves two interchanges and bridge walks.
Highway traffic peaks 07:30–09:30. Rail + BRT keeps your journey time predictable.
Navigate to Monash University Malaysia. The campus is reached via the Damansara–Puchong Expressway (LDP), KESAS, New Pantai Expressway (NPE) or Federal Highway; follow signs for Sunway City / Sunway Lagoon.
Any available level inside the BRT Park & Ride structure.
Take the lift or stairs up to Level 3.
Covered, weather-protected pedestrian bridge.
Follow signs to the Gate A security check.
Jalan PJS 11/15, Off Persiaran Lagoon, Bandar Sunway, 47500 Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The hotel is linked to the west side of Sunway Pyramid mall, a short walk or two BRT stops from campus.
By rail + BRT: follow the airport route above (KLIA Express/Transit to KL Sentral, LRT Kelana Jaya Line to USJ 7, then the Sunway BRT towards Sunway-Setia Jaya), but stay on four stops to SB3 Sunway Lagoon. Cross the skyway into Sunway Pyramid; the hotel is on the mall's west side.
Navigate to Sunway Lagoon Hotel. Use the same highways as for campus (LDP, KESAS, NPE or Federal Highway) and follow signs for Sunway City / Sunway Lagoon.
Parking: the hotel car park charges visitors RM 3 for the first hour, then RM 1 an hour, capped at RM 15 a day. Ask reception at check-in whether a guest rate applies.
Driving to campus? Parking at Sunway Lagoon Hotel and walking or taking the BRT avoids the BRT Park & Ride's 07:00–17:00 entry limit.
Sunway Canopy Walk. A covered, elevated walkway links Sunway Pyramid with Monash. Open daily 07:00–midnight. From campus, go out through the main gate (Gate A); from the hotel, start at the mall.
Walking directions ↗SB3 Sunway Lagoon ↔ SB5 SunU-Monash, via SB4 SunMed. SB3 is reached by the skyway from Sunway Pyramid; SB5 connects to Gate A by the Level 3 covered bridge. Pay with Touch 'n Go or a contactless card.
Short ride. Pick-up at Sunway Lagoon Hotel; set drop-off to Monash University Malaysia Gate A. Going back, set the destination to Sunway Lagoon Hotel.
Breakfast starts at 08:30 in Room 9501 (Building 9, Level 5). If you walk, leave the hotel by about 08:05. Hotel enquiries: +603 7492 8000.
